Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how NXT Rent collects, uses, stores, and protects information provided by vendors and information that vendors enter about their customers.
1. Information We Collect
NXT Rent collects information needed to operate vendor accounts and manage rental transactions. This includes vendor information and customer information entered by vendors.
2. Vendor Information
Vendor information may include:
- Business name, owner name, and office or business address.
- WhatsApp or mobile number and email address, where provided.
- Vendor UPI ID for receiving customer bill payments.
- Other account and profile information required to operate the NXT Rent account.
3. Customer Information
Vendors can create customer records in NXT Rent. These records may include:
- Name, address, WhatsApp or mobile number, and email address.
- Rental, billing, payment, return, and rental history information.
- Customer photographs, photo ID documents, and identity or address documents uploaded by the vendor.
- Rental agreements, contracts, and other information the vendor considers necessary to manage the rental transaction.
4. Customer Documents and Cloud Storage
Vendors may upload photo IDs, identity or address proofs, rental agreements, contracts, and other rental-related documents. These documents are stored in cloud infrastructure used by NXT Rent to provide the rental management service.
Vendors are responsible for having the appropriate legal basis, permission, notice, or consent required to collect and upload customer information and documents. Vendors should upload only information necessary for their rental business. NXT Rent processes and stores these documents to provide the service and does not use them for unrelated purposes.
5. How We Use Information
- Create and manage vendor accounts and authenticate vendors using OTPs.
- Manage customer records, inventory, rental transactions, returns, and rental history.
- Generate and manage bills and record payments and outstanding amounts.
- Store rental agreements and related documents.
- Enable vendors to communicate bills and rental-related information to customers through WhatsApp or email.
- Display vendor UPI information for customer bill payments.
- Maintain security, prevent unauthorized access, troubleshoot errors, and provide support.
- Maintain backups and service reliability, and comply with applicable legal obligations when required.
6. OTP Authentication
NXT Rent may send one-time passwords (OTPs) to the vendor's registered WhatsApp or mobile number. OTPs help verify the vendor's identity during registration, login, and applicable account security operations. NXT Rent does not use a vendor's WhatsApp number for unrelated marketing unless the vendor has separately enabled or consented to those communications.
7. WhatsApp and Email Communications
NXT Rent may collect a customer's WhatsApp or mobile number and email address because the vendor may use them to send bills, payment-related information, rental updates, return or reminder notifications, and other service-related communications. These messages relate to the customer's rental transaction and are initiated through the vendor's use of NXT Rent. NXT Rent does not independently market products or services to customers.
8. Vendor UPI Information and Payments
A vendor may provide a UPI ID so customers can make bill payments to the vendor. The UPI ID belongs to the vendor and is used to display or provide the vendor's payment information and facilitate the rental and billing payment workflow. NXT Rent does not claim to process or hold customer money through this feature.
10. Data Retention
NXT Rent may retain vendor and customer records and uploaded documents as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain rental and business records, support billing and transaction history, resolve disputes, maintain backups, prevent fraud or security issues, and meet applicable legal or regulatory requirements. When information is no longer required, it may be deleted or anonymized where appropriate, subject to backups, legal requirements, and legitimate business needs.
11. Vendor Responsibility for Customer Data
The vendor controls the customer information they enter into NXT Rent for their rental business. Vendors are responsible for collecting customer information lawfully and for providing customers with any required notices or obtaining any required consent. Vendors should not upload unnecessary, excessive, unlawful, or unrelated customer information.
NXT Rent provides the technology platform for managing this information and processes customer information to provide the services requested by the vendor.
12. Data Security
NXT Rent uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect vendor and customer information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No internet-based service can guarantee complete security.
13. Your Privacy Choices and Data Requests
Vendors may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their account information through NXT Rent or by contacting NXT Rent support. As the vendor collects and manages customer information, customers should generally contact the vendor about their personal information. NXT Rent may assist the vendor where appropriate.
Deletion may be subject to legal obligations, transaction records, backups, dispute resolution, or security requirements.
15. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, information practices, or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date and last updated date. Please review this page periodically for the current version.
